PURPOSE:

Responsible for process engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to support a manufacturing organization.


PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES/DUTIES:

•Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability

•Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production

•Oversee new process equipment production

•Establish robust, repeatable and reproducible process parameters

•Trouble shoot process related issues

•Implement statistical process control on new and existing processes

•Evaluate and select new chemistries and process materials

•Implement safety, productivity and yield improvements

•Develop and maintain process documentation

•Develop training plan and help train operators on assigned processes

•Develop preventative maintenance schedule for assigned processes

•Lead cost reduction and lean activities



Job Requirements
REQUIRED (MUST-HAVE) QUALIFICATIONS:


•Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry preferred
•Statistical process control, problem solving, mechanical aptitude, design of experiment, good operator / people skills, technical writing, project management.


DESIRED (NICE-TO-HAVE) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



•Experience in the printed circuit or metal finishing industry would be beneficial. •The ideal candidate would have 5+ years of experience in plating and etching.
