Apply process improvement and engineering methodology to the manufacturing process. Work with the production team to help diagnose and develop long lasting solutions to issues and problems affecting the overall output and quality of the Rotary Thermoforming process. This position will report to the Production Manager and will interface with all functional areas of the business.
Address day-to-day yield and quality issues
Analysis yield and quality issues and develop long term solutions to chronic issues.
Work with Maintenance and Engineering groups to address equipment and tooling issues.
Develop and implement communication and training plans to transfer new practices and information to the production team.
Optimize machine settings and develop control plans to maintain best process conditions.
Develop start up and verification procedures to assure the process are in control.
Coordinate tool installation, mechanical work, direct labor, and materials for the production runs.
Work with process technicians, operators, and quality personnel to run parts to planned specifications.
Requirements
Qualifications:
4 year Engineering Degree
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Requirements:
Strong Technical and trouble-shooting skill set.
Ability to communicate with all levels of manufacturing personnel.
Significant amount of work in a manufacturing environment
Some projects may require working beyond the normal workday hours.
Some travel may be needed.
Familiar with lean manufacturing tools
