Requirements:

? BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering plus 5 years manufacturing experience with green sand and brass castings

? Extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools. Six Sigma certification a plus

? Advanced computer skills which include proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point, and AutoCAD. Knowledge of AutoDesk Inventor a plus

? Strong knowledge of Foundry processes. Tooling and fixture design experience.

? Master’s degree in manufacturing related engineering is a plus

External Description: Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to assume a leadership role in driving continuous improvement in our Franklin, NH Foundry manufacturing processes. The individual will utilize technical expertise in Green Sand Casting, Brass Casting, and Low Lead process, in conjunction with Lean Manufacturing tools to eliminate waste, cost reductions, improve the productivity and quality the products of the company.

Job Responsibilities:

? Developing, evaluating, improving and documenting manufacturing process

? Developing and implement process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments.

? Analyzing manufacturing process flow to improve product quality, cost reduction, and
throughput.

? Providing engineering support to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems.

? Designing and developing manufacturing process for enhancements, product changes, new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost.

? Coordinating work with tool room personnel, and technicians.

? Initiate, facilitate, and lead kaizen/lean teams to improve quality, productivity, team member engagement and reduce costs

? Provide daily engineering technical support for manufacturing operations including, core room, molding and finish goods.

? Apply statistical methods to determine and improve process capability, repeatability, first-pass yields, and conformance to quality requirements

? Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts. Evaluates products/processes according to specifications, cost and quality standards

? Designs in a team based environment, the layout of equipment, workflow and team member engagement

? Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in industrial plant: Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.

? Knowledge of manufacturing concepts.

? Must be good communicator

? Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
