1. Plan, schedule, assign and supervise broad and/or technically complex process (Chemical) engineering activities requiring judgment, independent evaluation, selection and significant adaptation and deviation from standard techniques and procedures;
2 . Develop new techniques and solutions and suggest and justify product and work process improvements;
3 . Supervise the preparation of proposal and contract design calculations, drawings, and other engineering documentation using standards and/or new methods as required for refinery, petroleum, and chemical related operating units;
4 . Supervise the preparation of contract information (CI) sheets and/or BEDD sheets based on calculations and organization standards;
5 . Assure the technical quality of work performed by subordinates;
6 . Review and approve drawings and other engineering documentation for compliance with CI sheet and/or BEDD sheet requirements, codes, and standards;
7 . Prepare or supervise the preparation of technical specifications for purchased equipment;
8 . Coordinate and interface with equipment suppliers;
9 . Prepare or supervise the preparation of technical evaluations of supplier's proposals;
10 . Serve as technical expert within the organization;
1 1 . Work effectively and communicate with customers, other technical disciplines, and the organization's project management team; and
1 2 . Assure that all work on assigned projects is timely, accurate and high quality.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Related Field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years experience as a Design Engineer or any other job title performing all listed job duties. |
