Metal fabrication company seeking a Process Engineer with 2-5yrs laser cutting experience.
BS Engineering degree preferred
Responsiblities:
The Process Engineer is responsible for the following:
Optimize equipment and technology in order to ensure process control
Monitor machine performance daily basis across all shifts
Ensure safe and ergonomic work methods are established
Monitor and manage scrap and material utilization
Monitor and manage and labor efficiency to meet objectives
Monitor and manage consumables used in laser operations
Maintain equipment, monitor preventative maintenance
Troubleshoot equipment, manage downtime
Develop and maintain operator training program, leverage knowledge through training
Employ lean manufacturing concepts to improve laser cutting manufacturing processes
Ensure programming delivered to laser department fully utilizes machine capability
Participate in cross functional improvement efforts to improve factory performance
Participate in manufacturing review process and other APQP activities as directed
Evaluate external technologies relevant to laser processing and strategically identify opportunities to implement them internally
