Process Engineer

Job Description
General Job Duties
Primarily responsible for assisting and advising regarding optimization of generation plant processes to meet Power Supply goals. Responsible for the analysis and identification of process gap based on thorough analysis and problem solving. Schedules and monitors the execution of corrective activities and assesses the final results. Works in a team environment to improve performance needs of the plant and system and educates members on needs, economics and desired outcome. Responsible for the validation and correction of GADS data

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or PE ~AND~

Two (2) years directly related Engineering experience (e.g., power plant, refinery, industrial commercial or military power generation).

Desired Qualifications:

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS THAT ARE STRONGLY DESIRED: Three (3) years power plant Engineering experience. Experience with Generating Availability Data Source (GADS). Knowledge of General Physics Eta-Pro, SAP, and OSI Plant Information software systems. Demonstrated initiative and ability to work with stringent deadlines. Ability to work independently of direct supervision. Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities. Proficient in basic engineering tools with ability to create simulations, build models and develop analytical calculations. Well developed verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with diverse personalities and levels across the organization. Strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills. Ability to utilize engineering computer tools. Ability to work in a team environment as well as delegate work, as needed. Strong statistical process analysis skills.


Work Environment
May require extensive travel. May be required to work non-standard work schedules. May be exposed to stressful and hazardous conditions and inclement weather. May be required to work at heights up to and exceeding thirty (30) feet, underground and in confined spaces.
