Job Description | Role Synopsis
This person is a member of a team that supports the design, manufacture and testing of mud motor stators. They will be trained to become an expert in the application and testing of the rubber compound used in this product and will be expected to answer any questions the customer may have. Data analysis will be used to drive process adjustments to improve quality and reduce costs. This person must be familiar with the specifications that regulate the product, and may represent Baker Hughes at various industry meetings. Occasional international travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Plans and conducts research and development of standard engineering assignments.
Under limited supervision, develops and implements new product production methods. Develops and implements new production methods.
Recommends and implements improvements in the production process.
May receive specifications and guidance from team leader or senior level engineers.
May assist technical manufacturing support teams in testing new applications and problem solving.
May be assisted by entry or junior level personnel.
Handles special projects, as assigned.
Must follow all safety guidelines.
Performs other duties as directed.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
Good communication skills, safety oriented and a team player.
Basic analytical skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good problem-solving skills. Basic project management skills.
Sound working knowledge of principles, concepts, theories, and/or practices of applicable discipline.
Able to travel to Germany for 1 month training period.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
Candidate with leadership skills.
Lean or Six Sigma background.
Other Details
This position will be working Monday - Friday.
Candidate must be able to work and live in the US without sponsorship.
Relocation is available for this position.
