| Job Description | Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop robust injection molding processes and to provide competitive, cost effective estimates for primary tooling and automation applications to insure successful product launches and maximum ongoing productivity and quality.
•Possess up to date knowledge of injection molding processes in order to resolve daily process/product problems.
•Involved in the evaluation and selection of all molding machines and support equipment purchase decisions.
•Assist in establishing process control limits and standard work instructions
•Responsible for all new mold and tool process qualifications, including: scheduling qualifications, conducting process development and OQ execution and post qualification follow up including closure of tool and/or equipment issues.
•Assist is tool designs and layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tolling to ensure efficient production methods
•Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials and parts. Evaluate product according to specifications and quality standards.
•Communicate with support groups on daily issues.
•Confer with management, engineering and staff members regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
•May provide training to Technicians and Supervisors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree ( B.S.) from a four-year college or university in engineering and two(2) to six(6) years of related work experience or no degree and at least ten(10) years of experience. Basic computer knowledge in Windows and MS office. Strong verbal and written communication. Knowledgeable of Scientific Injection Molding. E-dart/RJG experience preferred.
