Our Functional Chemicals business makes chemical intermediates, performance chemicals and end-products on a global scale.

Our portfolio includes cellulosic specialties, chelates, ethylene amines, metal alkyls, micronutrients, organic peroxides, polysulfides, redispersable powder polymers, salt specialties and sulfur products. These chemicals are used in everyday items such as detergents, vinyl, automotive parts, agricultural products, pharmaceutical products, food products, wallpaper adhesives, plastic bags and cosmetics

We are organized in eight sBU's: Cellulosic Specialties, Chelates, Cross Linking Peroxides- Thermoset Chemicals & Polymer Additives (XTP), Ethylene Amines, High Polymer, Performance Additives, Salt Specialties and Sulfur Derivatives.

Our Business Unit structure is aimed at stimulating entrepreneurship and enhancing functional expertise. Our sBUs are supported by the functional area departments Accounting & Control, Communications, Human Resources, Information Management, Legal, Purchasing and Sustainability & Innovation.

We are looking for Process Engineers to fill two current openings. The first is at our Pasadena, TX facility.
The successful candidate will have a BSChE and up to 2 years experience in a chemical plant environment.
Initial job responsibilities will focus on providing engineering support for improving the process safety information systems. This includes P&ID's, SOP's, FLD's/interlock diagrams and instrument/equipment tag files. After completion of this project focus will shift to providing process engineering support for one or more production units.

The second position is located at our La Porte, TX facility.
The successful candidate for this position will have an engineering degree (BSChE, BSME or BSEE) and up to two years experience in a chemical plant.
Responsibilities include providing process engineering support for one or more production units, project conception, design and implementation. Daily activities will include troubleshooting, resolving process problems, and supporting process safety.
