Product Engineering Manager

Job Description
Summary: Lead an Engineering Group to complete: New Product Design and Development Programs, New Product Design Specifications, Quality Improvement Efforts, Design Enhancement and Value Engineering Programs, Technical and Documentation, New Technology awareness, Application Engineering. Manage various high level special strategic initiatives directed by President.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Coordinate, plan and lead the MRP implementation team activities through a timely & effective process of implementation & continued direction & maintenance
•Maximize the integration of MRP system tools into all areas of Company daily activities
•Provide support to budgeting process
•Planning, scheduling and budgeting design/development programs
•Interface with Sales, Marketing, and Production to produce the best-recognized available internal lining systems
•Production & Maintenance Engineering support
•Provide application technical support, meet with product end users to learn of product needs and improvements; provide technical input for product catalogs, installation guidelines, etc.
•Bill of Material maintenance, item master management, engineering change order functions
•Coordinate with Plant Management to develop & enact cost control & cost reduction measures as needed
•Collaborate with MFG personnel to assist in establishing long & short range plans to assist and resolve technical problems that affect day-to-day operations
•Supervisor the preparation of specification, layouts, drawings, cost estimates, etc. affecting plant equipment and capital projects
•Monitor environmental conditions to ensure compliancy and work closely with agency personnel and consultants on resolutions to environmental & safety issues
•Research, plan & prepare proposals relative to procurement of equip CAPEX, expansion construction, major maintenance projects, service contracts or other special strategic initiatives
•Special Strategic Initiatives: Coordinate, plan and lead the MRP implementation team activities through a timely & effective process of implementation & continued direction & maintenance, manage remote manufacturing plant supervisors, manage outsource vendor qualification & compliance
•All department processes and procedures documented and the appropriate individual(s) trained and cross-trained as necessary
•Responsible for identification, documentation, segregation, evaluation, and disposition of non-conforming products, services or systems


•BS Degree in Petroleum Engineering preferred (Chemical Engineering Degree, Mechanical Degree or Petroleum Position considered)
•10 years’ experience in product design/manufacture/process
•10 Years Oil & Gas Service Industry experience
•Well Completion Engineering experience preferred
•Tubular, Connections, Down hole experience preferred
•Field experience preferred
•Corrosion experience would be an advantage
•Customer interface would be an advantage
•Quality Control / Statistics
•ISO Knowledge / Experience
•Proficient Verbal and Written English Communication Skills

•Familiarity with MRPII
•Knowledge of Composite Materials
