Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:

S&OP / Inventories / Base Pricing

Responsible for ensuring the demand and supply planning/forecasting meetings and submission meet and accurately reflect the requirements of the business.
Responsible for ensuring that planning strategies (i.e. make to stock, assemble to order, assemble to order with stock and make to order) meet the requirements of the business..
Responsible for establishing and optimizing inventory levels with supply management and manufacturing. Use forecast information to reduce inventory levels and drive down working capital.
Monitor EFS reports and work with Supply/Logistics to improve supply chain.
Work with Supply Managers and Logistics to optimize distribution networks (internal and to the customer) to ensure efficiencies.
As necessary, develop and implement decisions regarding delivery priorities, allocations, customer/product priorities and enforcement of return policies.
Owner of all product specific information within SAP, PMM and other systems.
Develop product specific tactical plans in line with Global Business director requirements of optimized product mix, capacity utilization and profitability.
Actively manage floor pricing as set by market managers. Ensure all pricing in the system is accurate and that the Pricing Analyst has the most current information. Work with Pricing Analyst and others to develop/approve pricing for exceptions.
Pursue cost reduction strategies such as SKU rationalization or other standardization programs in line with market manager strategies. Develop programs and drive them forward.
Monthly reporting and assistance with SBU budget


Sales

Respond to all product management sales force enquires regarding responsible product line, this includes reading and responding to all customer call reports.
Participate in product launch programs by providing and setting up new products information as required for SAP implementation.
Manage commercial activities of non-strategic products within the assigned product line(s). Examples are DPA and Aniline.


Financial Analysis

Understand all product line costs including true manufacturing costs and costs to serve.
Understand financial drivers and how to impact them in a positive manner.
Implement cost reduction plans as developed by GBD to drive operating income. Work with Finance and Market Managers as needed.


R&D/Technology

Participate in R&D projects/review meetings as appropriate in order to understand project results from a product management perspective.




Communication

Give product specific presentations during Sales Meetings.
Assist in product training to internal function departments as required


Product Stewardship

Responsible for Product Stewardship activities and product elements of REACh.
Participate with EH&S issues as required. Ensure Responsible Care compliance by Chemtura, customers, and suppliers.
