Product Manager - Associate

Job Description
General Purpose:

Assist in the management of assigned product category and the achievement of related performance metrics.

Essential Functions:

Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive market-driven business strategy that addresses all aspects of product positioning, pricing, communication, and distribution.

Analyze and provide market potential, product, and financial performance relative to product goals reporting.

Develop and maintains thorough knowledge of competitive products, pricing, promotion, and performance.

Assist in the development of customer, dealer, and sales force research to describe their product expectations.

Create necessary product sales support and training information including product feature summaries, competitive evaluations, and pricing comparisons.

Participate in development of print and electronic media to support the product positioning and sales process.

Support product managers in the development of new product introductions, vocabulary, numbers, range of option, and initial price targets.

Support team and project management requirements including software as needed.

Represent product marketing as necessary on a variety of inter-departmental teams.

Performs additional responsibilities as requested.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Interior Design. MBA or progress toward MBA preferred.

Four to six years of product management / product marketing or related experience.

Contract furniture of capital goods marketing experience preferred.

Strong sense of the customer and sales process with demonstrated customer and field interaction.

Experience working in cross-functional team environments preferred.

Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

Demonstrated leadership potential preferred.

Market research experience preferred.

Strong analytical and project management skills.

Demonstrated ability to effectively use office automation and communication software and tools currently being used in the HMI office environment.

Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
