We are seeking a Product Manager who will be directly involved in the long term business success of a product franchise, enabled through customer driven innovation. This person will be part of a business team that identifies new business opportunities and that is accountable to collect, synthesize and prioritize market and customer requirements. The candidate will be a key member of the commercialization team that will launch new products and be accountable for the commercial performance of the product portfolio through the active support of our commercial teams. The Product Manager will actively support all business and product marketing efforts in order to maximize the value of a diagnostic product portfolio within the business unit, including the business and marketing plan(s), product roadmap(s), product commercialization and all consequent activities and respective documentation in alignment with the broader product portfolio and overall strategy.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establishes and maintains lines of communication through the organization and external contacts to facilitate customer needs identification and analysis, product awareness and product sales.

• Develops and analyzes financial information including margins, growth and royalties to make decisions concerning the viability of existing and potential new products.

• Designs and executes worldwide promotional campaigns for product line(s), including development of marketing collateral targeted at laboratory and physician groups.

• Prepares training materials and trains Hologic personnel, partners, collaborators and distributors as needed.

• Represents marketing and the customer on product development core teams to translate customer inputs into product requirements.

• Manages products in inventory which includes forecasting, promotional materials, etc. and prepares progress reports including analysis on sales, trends, competitor activity and promotions.

• Maintains clear and complete records to comply with all elements of Hologic’s Quality System relevant to the position.

• Interacts with the domestic marketing team to help develop effective and appropriate materials for international markets.

• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

RELATED BUSINESS/TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, and ABILITIES:

• Proven ability to effectively communicate with several types and levels of staff and external contacts, both in writing and verbally. Effective presentation skills using multimedia.

• Ability to effectively work on many complex and varied projects at one time, with frequent changing priorities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a fast paced team environment.

• Willingness and ability to travel (by land and/or air) up to approximately 15% of the time, including some international travel.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• BS in life sciences or related; MBA preferred.

• 2+ years experience working in a marketing or business development position. Some exposure to molecular diagnostics strongly preferred.

• Experience in a biotech manufacturing environment, preferably in an GMP and/or ISO environment.
