Product Manager, Case Conveyor

The Case Conveyor Product Manager is responsible for both product planning and product marketing of general case conveyor product lines. This includes managing products throughout their product life cycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining product vision, and working closely with engineering to deliver winning products. It includes ongoing work with sales, concepting and estimating, engineering and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are meet. The Product Manager's role also includes driving product, sales and marketing readiness for successful product introduction that includes positioning that supports the company's overall strategy and goals. Also includes:
Managing entire product line life cycle from strategic planning, product introductions, product optimization and product retirement phases.
Definition and annual update of Product Roadmap(s) for development and introduction of product capabilities.
Identify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.
Deliver Market Requirements and Product Requirements documents that include justification and prioritization of features.
Work with cross-functional teams to develop budget and effort estimates for proposed developments.
Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiate products in the market.
Plan the launch of new products and releases and manage cross-functional implementation of the plan.
Provide sales enablement tools and training that communicates the value proposition of the assigned products.
Serve as company expert on competitive product offerings.
Serve as product expert assisting marketing with press briefing, industry talks, white papers and product collateral.
Maintain contact with key customers, sales force, and support to ensure organization provides quality, reliability and customer satisfaction as it relates to assigned products.
Undergraduate degree, MBA or equivalent preferred
3 or more years of product marketing and/or product management experience
Technical background, experience related to material handling equipment and conveyance technologies preferred
Must be self-starter able to manage vision and purpose, be results oriented, and have strong interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills
Possess a strategic mind set, and tactical accountability for results with a sense of urgency to realize goals
Excellent teamwork skills with ability to influence cross-functional teams
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft office suite, including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. (AutoCAD and MRP/ERP system experience is a plus.)
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, including overnight and international travel.
