Product Manager - Commercial Vehicle

Job Description
Summary:

The primary responsibilities of this position are the top-line growth and bottom line profitability of the commercial vehicle product. This includes pricing decisions, evaluating market opportunities, determining the classes of commercial autos to insure, determining coverage options and limits to provide, managing the distribution model, determining and implementing IT initiatives to improve results, tracking results, forecasting and modeling, supervising field activities, and achieving planned underwriting results.

Main Responsibilities:

Review the work of peers, team members and others to identify errors or omissions and trains on deficiencies.

Plans ad hoc projects or ""one-off"" changes in advance to enable other departments to plan appropriately.

Effectively able to facilitate agency summit meetings and takes action on findings.

Effectively organizes and facilitates quarterly meetings.

Effectively adjusts personal state plans as necessary to repond to competitive changes or to product performance situations.

Successfully manages a team of professionals towards corporate and personal career goals.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

7 - 10 years insurance experience.

Undergraduate degree preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to present detailed information to large audiences.

Effectively prepare and deliver information to business unit leaders.

Understands all required programs associated with performance of job duties: Excel, Word, Outlook, ImageRight, Adobe Reader, web-based applications, and SQL database.

Ability to use multiple and complex data sources to analyze information and draw conclusions.

Anticipates needs of market conditions and responds to them appropriately.
Travel 20 - 30%.
