Overview:

Located in Boston, MA, the Product Manager-Game Day Apparel will have complete ownership of the Warrior game day apparel line for lacrosse, hockey and new sporting categories for Warrior. A focus on NCAA, High School, Club & Summer uniforms, sideline and rink side apparel and game day accessories.

Responsibilities:

- Create and implement yearly on field product concepts and packages

- Management of manufacturing partners (Alleson, OT, etc) on design, delivery and innovation

- Primary contact for brand partner game day needs (MLL & Team Reps)

- Cross functional leadership expectations by building product systems with protective and performance apparel, innovation sharing with Warrior in line apparel

Product Development

- Work with inside and outside designers to establish design criteria. Complete a thorough design brief for each product.

- Obtain feedback on new products by coordinating testing sessions

- Coordinate testing and approval samples for various new components

- Conduct focus group meetings to determine key product features, functions and benefits

- Work with vendors on seeing the design through to the finished product stage

Negotiation

- When possible, negotiate exclusivity agreements with vendors

- Aid in negotiation of finished product prices with vendors

- Aid in negotiation of delivery timelines with vendors (both raw materials and finished products)

Sales

- Partner with sales and Alleson to create game day incentive sales programs

- Act as a sales support member by giving product presentations to key accounts

- Present to key buying groups in Canada and the US and coordinate any SMU/custom program if required

- Present and educate internal dept’s. on your product line

Marketing

- Perform a yearly competitive analysis by category

- Define the product line in terms of market opportunities, key price points, required specifications, etc.

- Define the features and benefits for your product line for catalog and advertising

Systems

- Partner with IT/Digital to create an on line uniform builder/customizer

- Coordinate product codes and descriptions

- Provide Accounting with product FOB’s and supplier information

- Aid in inputting product forecasts

Miscellaneous

- Help returns dept. with consumer direct calls regarding product questions or warranty situations

- Merchandised trade show booths

- Attend various grass roots events as a form of market research

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
5-7 years of uniform experience preferred or high functioning apparel background
Understanding of player needs
Excellent Communication and Organizational skills
