The Product Manager is responsible for working with other Product Management team members to develop and implement the product plans for SIS Solutions. This position will focus on roducing product specific requirements as well as identifying market trends, competitive positioning and creating business justification for each major software release. This includes identification of appropriate markets and development of effective marketing strategies and tactics. The Product Manager will also manage internal processes related to the product lifecycle, including defining the release process for the company and gain agreement from each team on their roles and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Seeking new market opportunities within the company’s distinctive competence
Initiating market research and sizing markets
Documenting market problems (both existing customers and future customers)
Analyzing product performance and sales success
Writing white papers on product benefits, features and/or market trends
Speaking at industry events
Documenting product profitability and operational metrics
Creating, managing leading product specific Customer Advisory Board sessions Creating and maintaining the business case for the product
Creating and managing Business Proposals for each new product release
Managing the new-enhancement prioritization window for Development
Recommending product pricing and packaging
Serving as the product specific roadmap and competitive positioning expert when dealing with thought leaders, industry analysts, and press
Positioning the product for all markets and all buyers
Documenting the ideal sales strategy for each product at each release cycle
Providing high-level market and product requirements
Maintaining the product roadmap
Assisting with writing white papers and technical communiqués
Managing the release process with specific check points with executive team approvals
Developing the external and internal release plan for each release
Writing high level business requirements
Defining the release process for SIS
Gaining buy-in from each team on their roles and responsibilities
Project managing the release process from release content prioritization to general availability of the release
Coordinate release rollout between departments. (Development, Marketing, Sales, Customer Care, Training, packaging)
Skills/Requirements
Registered Nurses, CNOR’s, and/or Operating Room Directors are encouraged to apply
Experience working with a software development lifecycle methodologies is preferred (RUP, etc…)
Three to Five years of experience as a Software Product Manager
Three to Five years experience working with Healthcare Information Technology products.
Experience writing product specific business proposals
Available for 25% travel
Pragmatic Product Management training
Strong presentation and communication skills
Expert use of Power Point and other presentation software
