Position Summary
This position will responsible for the design, development, and promotion of our technology offerings and meeting the related revenue objectives of Batesville Interactive. This position will work closely with our other Product Managers to maximize our market penetration across all of our platforms with funeral homes & cemeteries, and reach the families they serve directly, and the friends and relatives of those families indirectly, with messaging and revenue-generating opportunities

Responsibilities

Manage the existing products

Develop new products to fit emerging consumer needs, maintaining Batesville's leadership position in funeral service technology

Manage all products to meet the revenue and margin objectives of Batesville Interactive

Work with Batesville reps, customers, and families to defined appropriate functional requirements for new products and enhancements to existing ones

Work closely with the technical development team to translate business requirements into technical requirements, ensuring the delivery of products that succeed in the market

Create and manage forecasts for each product, including the quarterly RFF process

Partner with our sales team to promote the products to our customers and meet the revenue objectives for each product

Manage all aspects of the product marketing mix (Product, Price, Place, Promotion, Positioning)

Work with Batesville marcom to design and execute marketing materials and campaigns as required to meet business objectives

Work closely with the Consumer Product Manager and the Funeral Home Product Manager to ensure that the funeral home platform products support our expansion into consumer offerings for families, friends, and relatives

Monitor the marketplace position of our products and the efforts of competitors

Take total responsibility for the success of each product in the segment, including taking appropriate steps to secure the cooperation / support within Batesville to make each product a winner

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Profile
An accomplished marketing professional with exceptional vision and advance project management experience. Ability to effectively develop and then champion the commercial success of the resulting output of high-profile technology products.




Education and Experience Required

5+ years experience in marketing or product development

Experience (3+ Years) in technology product development and/or support

Experience (3+ Years) developing / marketing web-related products

Knowledge and experience of web 2.0 topics (social media, SEO, SEM, Website UI)

Strong communication skills, both orally and in written text

Strong presentation skills

Strong self organization skills

Solid command of basic Microsoft Office programs, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

Preferred Skills

Strong project management skills

Negotiating and third-party relationship establishment experience

Sales experience is a plus

Funeral Industry experience is a plus

Ability to train/manage/lead LEAN or CI activities and initiatives
