The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle for a newly launched literature management and discovery desktop app including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with various departments to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Key Responsibilities
Gather requirements, monitor and help to define the product strategy and roadmap
Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
Stay abreast of the competitive landscape and keep up-to-date on specific competitors
Run beta-testing programs internally and externally
Liaise with marketing to provide product positioning and messaging
Provide internal and external product training as required
Work with third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
Skills & Experience
You will be an experiences product manager with enthusiasm and a genuine interest in internet technology products and preferably a background in science. You will have solid product management skills with a commercial focus, excellent decision making skills and also the ability to meet deadlines and will be committed to ensuring that the product supports Labtivas overall strategy and goals.
Experience managing web-based products
Excellent communication skills
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Success defining and launching excellent products
Excellent time-management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Used to working in a start-up environment
