Goodrich ISR Systems in Princeton, NJ seeks a Product Manager for one of our industrial InGaAs SWIR imager product lines. This key position involves a blend of customer interface, sales and marketing with technical expertise, applications support and internal project management. A successful candidate will have a demonstrated history of working collaboratively with customers to develop application specific solutions and drive internal technical resources to complete customer specific development projects on time and budget.
Customer Management
- Identification of target markets, applications, and customers
- Customer visits, presentation and correspondence
- In collaboration with customers, applications engineering, and technical staff, validate customer applications for linear array components
- Develop customer proposals for custom products to meet specific needs
- Support customer integration and use of products in applications
- Troubleshoot customer issues and coordinate resolution with technical staff
- Coordinate with sales staff to meet customer needs regarding quotation and delivery
- Author technical articles in trade publications and support tradeshow activities
- Support the development of customer literature including sales sheets, specifications, user manuals, and application notes
Product Line Management
- Develop internal proposals for product line enhancements and additions
- Track product line performance including sales, gross margin, yield, risk, and return on investment
- Report product line performance, risks, opportunities to leadership team
- Maintain product roadmap
Project Management
- Develop MS Project plans for small scale development projects
- Manage R&D, engineering, and manufacturing resources on small-scale development projects
- Drive projects on schedule and budget to meet internal and external stakeholder expectations
Basic Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- B.S. In Engineering or a Technical Degree preferred. Master's Degree a plus
- PMP Certification Desired
- Experience with lean product development tools desired
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Experience with imagers or imager technology preferred
- Must have the ability to travel 10% - 20% of the time
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
