| Job Description | This is one of many creative roles in the company. It is a dynamic and energetic position that balances analysis, customer interaction, engineering team teamwork, and creativity to help define the growing set of applications that run within the Explorys platform.
Candidates for this position must demonstrate a track record of managing product lifecycle for commercially available web-based applications. This role requires both strategic and hands-on definition, design, and management of one or more products in the Explorys portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Market research and definition as it relates to un-met needs, value assessment, packaging, pricing, competitive analysis, and support model.
Collection and prioritization of business and/or market requirements from prospects, customers of earlier versions of the product, domain experts, technology visionaries, market experts, products / solutions from competing vendors, etc.
Development of Marketing Requirements Documents, or MRDs, which synthesize the requirements / needs of various stakeholders as outlined above.
Development of Product Requirement Documents, or PRDs, which document and illustrate how the product will be constructed (e.g. Storyboards, prototypes, functional requirements)
Establishment of product level P&L budgets including 3-year R&D and sales projections.
Coordination of user interface prototypes for refining requirements with customers.
Responsibility for all user interface consistency with other apps within the portfolio.
Establishment and measurement of quality and compliance standards that can be executed by the quality assurances and testing teams.
Management of customer adoption and usage analysis.
Development and management of product literature including brochures, electronic collateral, and videos.
Development and management of sales proposal templates and materials as they relate to product and services offerings.
Development of demonstration scripts, video and materials for customers and sales teams.
Coordination and management of training curriculum with the Data Services team.
Conducting of pre-release testing and acceptance testing with real-life users.
Scope of responsibility: 1-2 applications.
Requirements:
MBA with BA/BS preferred in Computer Science or a related technical field
A minimum 3 years of product management (recent) in cloud computing or SaaS sector.
Demonstrable proficiency in web-based prototype development including HTML and JavaScript.
Experience with web user interface design and strong understanding of best practices.
Working knowledge of database and cloud based technologies.
Background in healthcare and life science data services a plus.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Strong business knowledge and confident decision making skills.
Some travel (up to 10-20% of time) and must be authorized to work in the United States. |
