We are looking for a Product Manager / Services Manager that will have direct responsibility for the success of the company’s services. They will provide leadership for offerings and help determine strategies for services or a services line by developing, implementing, and managing services offering development, plans, and activities that will ensure achievement of revenue and profit objectives. The Services Manager will be involved with the service through all stages of the solution life cycle including definition, development, release and post release activities.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Determining and maintaining service requirements for software and managed service offerings through an in-depth understanding of client lifecycles and needs; works directly with clients and partners to understand their needs and translate them into requirements; evaluates and
prioritizes requested service enhancements

Developing and planning service related marketing plans; Oversees the overall service strategy including the development, pricing and cost benefit analysis of services.

Developing and positioning for service related marketing materials including service collateral, release materials, and sales tools,

Conducting research and analysis of competitive information as needed

Working on special marketing projects as needed

Utilizing their strong leadership skills to lead and assist on cross-functional teams as required

Assisting in new offering opportunity identification, assessment and development

Interviewing clients and prospective clients for current offering feedback, testimonials, opportunity assessments, and refinement of service delivery

Interfacing with Product managers to assist in service plans for whole products

Assisting professional services, support, training, and account services for services delivery alignment

Some travel required (approximately 10 %)


We encourage individuals possessing all of the following minimum qualifications to apply immediately

Work Experience:

5+ years of services engineering experience in IT or industrial engineering is required

Experience gathering requirements, systematically identifying, developing, and designing new services using appropriate tools, methods and techniques is required

Demonstrated ability to work directly with customers and partners is required

Experience in marketing or product management is highly desired

Experience designing Outsourcing Services is highly desired

Experience working in the tax or public accounting field is preferred

Hands-on experience in:

Engineering and implementing service related product plans

Training customer facing departments on service enhancements and initiatives

Understanding customer needs and translating them into service requirements

Producing service roadmaps in support of company objectives

Overseeing service releases and market launches

Defining marketing strategy including positioning, benefits, key messaging

Creating service P&L and revenue forecasts

Developing plans for market, customer and competitive research and analysis

Knowledge of technological concepts such as cloud computing, Software-as-a-Service (SasS),

Managed Services and Outsourcing is preferred.

ERP software experience is preferred.

Experience with solution selling techniques is preferred.


Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

Demonstrated success in service and whole product offerings, and their connections to market conditions and customer requirements
Financial understanding of P&L target pricing and services cost calculations
Understanding and experience with time to market and methods to reduce offering development time.
Working knowledge of software development processes including the ability to evaluate and prioritize enhancement requests for software services, set software service release schedules and create software service forecasts
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Education & Training:

Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Industrial Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
MBA or equivalent experience preferred
