| Job Description | The Product Marketing Engineer will be responsible for managing the forecasting process for Services products across all Veeco Business units. This position will require close engagement with the Sales team, Marketing and finance to establish an accurate booking and revenue forecast and assist with meeting booking and revenue goals within each Business Unit.
In this entry level Product Marketing position, the ideal candidate will be provided the developmental opportunity to learn the product lines and business fundamentals through working closely with the Service Marketing Managers and assisting them in formulating new and existing product/pricing strategies and with responding to service requests from the field. This position requires strong verbal and written communication and data management skills business acumen and aspiration for Marketing/Business Management.
Responsibilities
•Service Booking and Revenue Forecasting and Forecasting Management across all Veeco Business Units including, but not limited to:
?Reporting – progress reports
?Revenue and Booking risk management
•Driving Business Units execution (order fulfillment, tracking and follow-up on actions) against commitments to customers
•Coordinate programs status with Sales and Customers
•Main Point of contact for Sales and Field Services teams on all Service requests
•Assist with Pricing & Commercial Agreements – ensure negotiated business deals support the right gross margins
•Respond to Accounts and Account Management requests through direct engagement with existing and target accounts
•Assist with establishing Service Product Strategy through performing market assessment (market share measurement) and competitive analysis
Qualifications
•BS degree in Engineering, MBA preferred
•This is the perfect entry level role for someone with Marketing or Product Management career aspirations
•Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
•Experience with Data Management (export from databases to excel and perform analysis)
•Ability to work independently
•Strong project management skills and proven ability to drive objectives to meet deadlines
