HOERBIGER Corporation of America Inc., is the manufacturing center for the Americas Region with plants located in Pompano Beach, FL and Houston TX supplying all products to our OEM customers in the North and South American Cotenant.



We currently have an opening for a Production Manager - Injection Molding at our Pompano Beach, FL manufacturing facility.



The Production Manager - Injection Molding, will plan, manage and direct all polymer manufacturing at the Company to achieve efficient and economical production within established manufacturing costs to maintain the highest standards of quality and volume requirements, to meet scheduled customer commitments and to accomplish profit, growth forecast and investment return goals.



This is accomplished through the following essential duties:

Manage the polymer manufacturing operations to meet KPI’ goals through perusal of reports, staff meetings, observation and communication across disciplines to assure coordination and integration of work flow, timely production, budgetary conformance, schedules, and utilization of personnel, skills, machines, equipment and facilities.
Assist, advise and expedite manufacturing and related problems by utilizing staff services to resolve and implement corrective procedures including: the quality of supplied goods and services, utilization of outside vendors when required, support of Applications
Engineering as required, proactive response to Customer Service needs.

Promote continuous improvement throughout the plant and give input on major projects, e.g., acquisition and installation of capital equipment, major repairs and overhauls, plant layout changes, etc., to the best economic advantage and schedule.

Act as liaison between Management and Supervisory levels to keep personnel informed on matters of communications, decisions and policies.

Supervise and coordinate the various programs essential to manufacturing procedures, e.g. training, safety, housekeeping, work simplification, cost reduction, plant protection and security, etc. either directly or through subordinates.

Manage the polymer manufacturing operations; directly supervises one Supervisor, six Production Leads and one Engineer.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Polymer Engineering plus five to ten years’ experience managing a Custom Engineered Polymer Production Facility; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of injection molding with advanced engineering grade, semi-crystalline polymers such as PEEK, PPS and PA (filled and non-filled) is preferred.

Knowledge of Scientific Molding Principles (RJG, Paulson) and Machining of Polymers through CNC Mills and Lathes a plus.

Lean or Six Sigma certifications a plus.
