Job Description

With headquarters in Canton, Ohio, we operate steelmaking centers in Canton and Lorain, Ohio, and value-added rolling and finishing facilities in Canton, Lorain and Massillon, Ohio; Lackawanna, N.Y.; Gary, Indiana; and Hamilton, Ontario.
We are actively seeking Production / Operations Managers (Steelmaking / Continuous Casting) for our Lorain, Ohio Steelmaking and Rolling facility.
Job Responsibilities include:
Providing direct supervision to ensure the achievement of quality, production, safety and cost objectives
Managing, training and developing the hourly / salaried workforces
Ensuring adherence to job procedures and the collective bargaining agreement
Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental requirements
Coordinating, planning and prioritizing daily department schedules, assignments, activities and priorities
Troubleshooting operational issues and identifying corrective measures
Practicing continuous quality improvement
Supervising scheduled repairs and distributing work orders
Participating in special projects as assigned

Job Requirements
Degree in related field of study or equivalent training including management / supervisory experience. Military service / leadership is a plus!
Demonstrated maintenance aptitude including skills in mechanical, electrical and predictive / preventive maintenance practices required
Demonstrated excellent communication, team building, leadership and planning skills
