HOERBIGER Corporation of America Inc., is the manufacturing center for the Americas Region with plants located in Pompano Beach, FL and Houston TX supplying all products to our OEM customers in the North and South American Cotinent.
Currently have an opening for a Production Supervisor CNC Machining (Off Shift) at our Pompano Beach, FL Manufacturing Facility.
Summary: Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating variety of metal, plastic and polymer working machines to shape metal, by removing excess material by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Analyzes work orders to determine production schedules. Directs work to machines based on machine capabilities, machine and operator availability, and tool package availability.
Assigns work to department personnel in order to meet production goals.
Reviews SFC data daily and follows up with operators to gain an understanding of significant issues affecting productivity.
Works with Methods, Maintenance, Supply Chain and other departments as required to resolve productivity issues surfaced by SFC.
Ensures that tools, holders, inserts, jaws and other supplies stored at the point of use are neatly organized and replenished.
Oversees operator self-inspection to ensure that Hoerbiger ISO 9001 quality processes are adhered to.
Trains and directs operators as required on machine set-up and operation procedures.
Confers with Human Resources regarding company policies with respect to workers actions and enforces safety regulations.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Maintains time and production records.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises manufacturing employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding employees and addressing discipline, complaints and resolving problems in conjunction with Human Resources.
Job Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (BA) or equivalent from a four-year College; and six or more years directly related experience in CNC Manufacturing operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prefer experience with advanced manufacturing theory, processes and applications.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software, Manufacturing software, ERP and Production Scheduling programs and Microsoft Office Suite. SAP ERP and Factory Viewer experience is preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
CNC Machining Supervision experience is required. Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, ISO 9001 experience is preferred,
