Production Supervisor I

Job Description
We are seeking a Production Technician Lead who can develop, implement, communicate and execute production goals while being an active working team member of the production team.

This includes:
•Meet Production and Safety Goals
•Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production of capital equipment while performing theses same activities
•Plan and establish work schedules, assignments and production sequences to meet production goals
•Perform verification and validation testing
•Regularly interface with Engineering, Manufacturing Personnel, Quality Assurance, and R&D to improve production efficiencies, minimize waste and drive out costs
•Confer with other supervisors and shift leaders to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
•Travel up to 40% both domestic & international for installation of capital equipment
•Determine and communicate root cause and corrective action as issues arise
•Demonstrate positive leadership practices including setting clear goals with employees, providing regular feedback, and contributing to a positive and motivational work environment.

Required Skills




•Proficiency using hand tools, soldering equipment, electromechanical test equipment and automation; this is a HANDS-ON position requiring precise handling of small components
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, with a strong working knowledge of Excel and Word
•Familiar with personal computer and (email, SAP, etc.)
•Ability to work and communicate well in production team environments
•Ability to quickly react to changing priorities
•Self-motivated, quick learner, good attendance, team player
•Proactive problem solver
•Familiarity with 5S and other lean manufacturing
•Ability to train others on operations via written and verbal communication

Required Experience

•Minimum of three years of experience in mechanical/electrical assembly production lead role
•Minimum of three years of experience in automation with electrical emphasis

Required Education

Two-year associate degree in electrical/automation, vocational training, or equivalent experience required
