Argo Group US currently has a challenging opportunity for an Underwriter, located in New Jersey. The primary purpose of this position is to actively participate in the production underwriting, marketing and processing of the Errors & Omissions (E&O) lines of business. This is a professional level position which is part of Argo Pro.


Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities are:

Actively drive the profitability and production results for E&O in the Geneva office. Participate in achieving the overall E&O GWP, LR and CR objectives.

Underwrite and analyze new business and renewals submissions. Products include A&E, Accountants, Insurance Agents and other E&O lines on both a primary and excess basis.

Ensure our marketing initiatives are achieved and that consistent communication of our products and services are provided to our retail and wholesale brokers.

Provide reports (daily, weekly, monthly) and status updates, as required.

Track submission pipeline ensuring service guidelines are achieved. Help prioritize volume, where appropriate.

Actively participate in client and broker meetings, as required.

Participate in special projects and assignments as requested.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are:

Minimum 3 – 5 years underwriting experience in professional with expertise in MPL, Technology, Data Privacy & Security and Media.

Experience with Accountants, A&E and Lawyers professional lines preferred.

Strong relationships with professional liability specialist brokers in the Eastern U.S.

Strong computer skills. Proficient in Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Excellent organization skills, very strong analytical, oral and written communication skills required.

The ability to meet tight deadlines is essential.

Strong customer service and teamwork skills and a professional attitude needed.

Must be able to quickly evaluate the accuracy of data and information.

Ability to interact and communicate with various levels of the organization to cross sell or address processing requirements.

Ability to work independently with guidance and procedures provided.
