Job Description
Hamilton Sundstrand is among the largest global suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products. We design and manufacture aerospace systems for commercial, regional, corporate and military aircraft and are a major supplier for international space programs. Our industrial products serve industries ranging from hydrocarbon, chemical and food processing to construction and mining.

The Air Management Systems (AMS) division of Hamilton Sundstrand (HS) is seeking experienced aerospace project engineers. HS/AMS is one of the world leaders in the development and delivery of environmental control systems for both commercial and military customers. The candidate will be responsible for the Project Engineering function related to HS' Air Management Systems and components.

Major responsibilities include:

- Project execution of technical requirements to budget and schedule through the (IPD) Integrated Product Development Team process. Act as liaison between HS & customer engineers.

- Management of Design to Cost (DTC) and Design to Weight (DTW) activities, resolution of Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA), operation within Standard Work / QCPC, preparation for Design Reviews and presentations to senior management

- Creation Verification & Qualification test plans, execute the tests and generate approved test reports in accordance with HS, Customer and FAA guidelines.

- Coordination of production readiness activities including events such as DFMA and 3P




BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred, however, other Engineering disciplines will be considered

The candidate should possess strong communication and teaming skills (working with internal & external customers & suppliers), and be skilled with all MS Office computer software products, particularly MS Project. Hands-on experience with hydromechanical (industrial and/or aerospace) equipment is also preferred. A working knowledge of Earned Value (EV) project performance management techniques is desirable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: BS Engineering degree required - BSME, BSAE preferrd - others considered

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 4 years of working experience required

IND. EXP: Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing, Industrial, Defense, Space, Energy

MS Office proficiency (Project, Excel, Power Point)
Experience with aerospace equipment and environmental control systems a plus
