POSITION SUMMARY:
Act as Project Manager (Non-Traditional Request Team) of highly customized products, coordinating actions between design and application engineering, purchasing, production, test, and quality assurance.

•Responsible to accurately determine the labor requirements and earned hours for NTR orders during quoting process.
•Design reviews of Non-Traditional Requests (NTR) prior to start and during production.
•Design reviews include structural, sheet metal, mechanical, and electrical designs.
•Generate meeting minutes, action items lists and drive execution of open tasks of cross-functional members. Maintain updated records for each job reviewed.
•Drive improvement for projects associated to the NTR team, the operation of the NTR team as it relates to manufacturing and pre-manufacturing launch activities, and necessary production modifications. Responsible to contact Field Quality Specialists (FQSs) in order to info product schedule of NTRs and align schedules for design and production reviews.
•Act as liaison between manufacturing and engineering for design and assembly interpretation during production.
•Review NTR jobs with focus on manufacturability of the products. Request changes in order to make the design manufacturing friendly, cost effective and safe for employees.
•Coordinate efforts with NTR and manufacturing teams in order to ensure that the assembly matches customer expectations (as built matches design intent).
•Continuously evaluate the manufacturing capabilities and request new tools, devices and fixtures that will enable product quality, meet design requirements and lower labor costs.
•Lead manufacturing activities related to the introduction of new technologies like compressors, controls, VFDs, CO2, etc., in order to ensure that the components are correctly installed, programmed and tested prior to shipment.
•Continuously assess the skill level of the production employees dedicated to work on NTR jobs and provide training (internal or externally developed trainings) whenever required in order to ensure that the products are built per the design specifications.
•Ensure special shipping requirements are identified and properly planned for. Provide feedback and solution opportunities based on historic field issues during the review of final product VOC audits.
•Drive additional process improvements throughout the organization as necessary, and as time permits.



REQUIREMENTS:
•BS Degree in Engineering
•3-5 years experience
•Refrigeration knowledge required
