Job Description | Responsibilities
Manage cost, schedule and scope for 1-2 large projects (medical/orthopedic)
Key customer point of contact - manage customer expectations and ensure complete customer satisfaction
Responsible and accountable to ensure projects meet all requirements, are delivered on-time & finish at or below budget
Plan, schedule, manage and coordinate all aspects of the project life cycle. This includes engineering design, subcontracts procurement, manufacturing, assembly, testing & project closure.
Central point-of-contact between the customer and the project team
Work laterally across the organization with department leads and employees
Work closely with all functional groups (sales, engineering, quality, manufacturing) to generate, monitor & control schedules, budgets & requirements
Prioritize project tasks based on capacity, due dates & critical path
Weekly reporting to upper management relative to schedule, cost, scope and work load
Qualifications
Engineering or Business Degree
Experience managing RFPs (procurement planning of projects)
Microsoft Project scheduling experience
Ability to understand technical documents, disseminate information and the ability to read and write technically
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Previous experience in Project Management in a related field (5 years preferred)
Minimal domestic travel may be required
Experience presenting to audiences (5-10 people)
Experience directly managing customers
Experience with successful project execution with minimal management oversight
Must be able to use sound judgment to make critical decisions
PMP certification (preferred)
A technical background is preferred |
