We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join the Flat Glass Central Engineering team in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Our Engineering team builds new production facilities, installs new manufacturing processes, and rebuilds existing facilities to support our glass related markets around the world. We hire top-notch people and are committed to their development. As a key member of our engineering team, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing the construction of a Greenfield factory in an international location yet to be determined. The ideal candidate will have a broad mix of skills and experience. In addition to a strong work ethic and integrity, the successful candidate should have experience with, and must be prepared to excel in the following areas of responsibility:
Contractor selections.
Building and utility engineering and construction.
Management of schedules including coordination with process equipment installations.
Candidates should be eager to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, non-bureaucratic environment.
Job Requirements :
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) is a must.
Minimum 2 year’s experience as a Project Manager and/or 6 years as a Project Engineer in a related field in Industrial Manufacturing.
Must have broad technical skills.
Must have the ability to negotiate contracts and manage contractors.
Must have the ability to work on complex projects; be able to analyze problems quickly, and develop corrective actions.
Must have good leadership skills and the ability to influence others without direct authority.
Able to work effectively and communicate across multiple levels.
Must be detail-oriented, with excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be able to self-motivated and responsible.
Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD
NOTE: This position will require relocation overseas for a 1 – 2 year assignment, when not overseas you must be willing to travel 30% of the time. The position is based in our Auburn Hills, Michigan facility.
