This position will manage our Purchasing Group and be responsible for the procurement of commodities through the development and implementation of purchasing strategies and the management of supplier relationships. Other areas of responsibility include price negotiation, planning, and production inventory control. Lead continued improvement in processes and procedures including electronic options to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of department activities and functions. Manage and guide staff, communicate job specific results, establish strategic goals, communicate job specific results, maintain quality service, maintain professional/technical knowledge, and contribute to team efforts. This position requires prolonged sitting, repetitive hand/wrist activities, and prolonged PC usage.

Who you are:

Successful candidates will have a Bachelor Degree with a minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant purchasing experience with increasing responsibilities including management or supervisory experience. Candidates must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and be able to work in a fast paced environment.
