Quality Assurance Manager

Job Description
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
To manage the Quality Assurance, Document Control and Safety functions at their plant facility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Test and evaluate incoming raw material and finished product

• Conduct audits and implement appropriate corrective action

• Process customer complaints and product on hold to determine root cause analysis and implement the proper corrective actions

• Maintain calibration of all test equipment

• Create and maintain control of all documentation

• Conduct Safety and Quality Improvement meetings

• Maintain and purchase safety equipment

• Train and supervise quality assurance personnel

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma required

• College degree preferred

• Minimum 5 years experience in the quality assurance field

• 2 years prior supervisory experience

OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge and ability to use laboratory equipment

• Vision correctable to 20/20 with no color blindness

• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively

• Computer proficiency

• Knowledge of ISO process and procedures

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be fully mobile from one manufacturing area to another, which may require stepping over and/or bending under objects

• •Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Manufacturing floor environment

• May include outside conditions on top of railcars or silos in all types of weather.
