NACCO Materials Handling Group, Inc. seeks a DYNAMIC Quality Engineer to assist the Quality Department in managing the quality of production parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Developing through appraisal of key indicators the appropriate capital, systems, or training needed to meet our quality standards and to improve if possible to a level above expectations. To establish documentation of procedures, design of experiments, system auditing and working with the Continuous Improvement teams to improve the processes. Insuring that quality standards are met during production, resolve quality issues, analyze SPC data, and to maintain the integrity of quality systems.
Understands the quality requirements for the processes he/she works with.
Inspects the daily operations to insure that the correct process, machine, and quality standards are being followed.
Demonstrated ability to effectively implement continuous improvement initiatives
Develops and manages the audit systems within the product line by establishing requirements, conduct, and measurement.
Takes a leadership role with continuous improvement.
Develops and/or contributes to product FMEA, control plans, customer acceptance, documentation and other methods related to APQP processes.
Audit manufacturing process for conformance to customer specifications.
Compiles and writes training materials and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
Trains associates in statistical process control.
Assumes responsibilities of QA Manager in his/her absence.
When required, direct activities of other Quality Assurance department associates.
Leads efforts in achieving all customer Quality System Requirements.
Assists the Sulligent operations in achieving total customer satisfaction in Quality, Delivery and Cost.
Utilizes key measurement data to develop a quality plan with clear definition of objectives and actions with time lines.
Uses Quality Techniques such as Design of Experiments to reduce process variation or refine process parameters based on results.
Plans counter-measures, reports and actions based on customer returns. Is expected to be able to communicate key issues and actions.
Develop plans to be able to meet ISO system requirements.
Develops and maintains the impact system to ensure FMEA, Control Plans, Inspection Instructions, etc are up to date.
Develop Dimensional Control Plan to be able to communicate the process requirements.
Technical
Three to Five (3-5) years Experience in a Quality Manufacturing Environment preferred.
4 yr Degree in Technical Field is required.
Six Sigma (Black Belt Experience) preferred
Preferred ASQC Certification
