| Job Description | Clairon Metals Corporation in Covington, GA has an immediate opening for a Quality Engineer.
Clairon Metals is a metal-stamping company that manufactures metal parts, weldments, and assemblies for a variety of customers in a number of different industries including: power sports, automotive, outdoor power equipment, compressor, home improvement, building products, truck & bus, etc. We are located in Covington, Georgia which is approximately 35 miles east of Atlanta. In business for more than 20 years, we are a privately-owned company that provides: tool design and tool building; short-, medium- and long-run metal stampings; resistance welding; robotic Mig welding; assembly; prototyping; and engineering services.
This mid-level position is responsible for investigating and responding to customer complaints and coordinating internal and external activities to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues to prevent reoccurrence. Other responsibilities include:
? recommending and developing inspection and sampling techniques, quality control plans and process control procedures;
? performing process capability analysis on existing and new programs;
? performing audits of the quality system;
? participating in corrective action meetings; and,
? problem-solving by determining root cause and developing countermeasures.
Required qualifications for consideration include:
BS in engineering or equivalent experience.
2-5 years of relevant experience in Quality Control.
Experience in an ISO-environment and Six Sigma is a plus.
