| Job Description | JOB DESCRIPTION
Quality Control Metallurgist will provide engineering expertise in identifying and resolving quality problems within a high volume steelmaking operation.
The candidate will evaluate data, conduct trials and recommend solutions that eliminate causes of product nonconformance. Metallurgist assist operations management in evaluating and modifying standard operating practices in relation to improved yield and product quality.
This position will involve responsibility for either product quality and customer interaction or for quality control within an assigned steelmaking process.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or Materials Engineering or an equivalent .
Candidates must be self motivated, eager, and enthusiastic team players who have a strong work ethic and desire to make a contribution.
Candidates must be willing to work in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Successful candidates will have strong problem solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to operate effectively within fast paced environment.
A working knowledge of Microsoft applications and data analysis skills are required. |
