Description and Requirements:


Supports the efforts of the Dart Sales Force by addressing and making decisions regarding pricing, sales support, and service issues within the context of Dart policies, procedures, and philosophy.

Specific Duties:

Works with Dart field sales personnel involving Salesforce requests for competitive pricing, contract and bid pricing, and other product pricing issues.

Analyzes information provided by Dart field sales personnel pertaining to competitive products, competitive prices, and related terms and conditions of sale.

Makes decisions concerning customer pricing, shipping requirements, terms and conditions of sales, and contract/bid pricing.

Communicates and explains, with supporting rationale, pricing decisions and company pricing policies as well as related terms and conditions of sale to Dart field sales personnel and, on occasion, directly to customers.

Evaluates and makes decisions on Salesforce requests regarding company expenditures relating to distributor promotional and marketing activities, distributor trade show participation, and distributor requests for advertising support.

Assists customers by resolving service related issues which are beyond the abilities or authority of Dart Customer Service Representative and handles other service issues when field sales personnel are unavailable and/or immediate action is required.

Receives Field Service Reports from Dart field sales personnel relating to product quality and/or customer service problems. Analyzes the reported information. Gathers information on the situation from various sources. Works with the Dart Salesforce to develop the optimal mutually acceptable solution for both the customer and Dart. Makes decisions in this regard and communicates them to the Dart Salesforce and, on occasion, to the customer.

Works with Dart Credit Department personnel, Dart field sales personnel, and occasionally directly with the customer to resolve issues associated with past due invoices and unauthorized payment deductions.

Authors and sends customers price quotations, price contracts, and general customer service correspondence relating to pricing and general sales and service matters.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university required, business related field preferred.

Excellent verbal communication skills.

Excellent written communication skills.

Ability to use independent judgment and make decisions.

Good basic math skills.

Good organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.

Two (2) years of general business and/or supervisory experience preferred.

Two (2) years experience working with computers preferred.

Six (6) months experience using Microsoft Word preferred.

Six (6) months experience using Microsoft Excel including the ability to create spreadsheets and create and apply formulas preferred.
