Position Summary:

• Direct and coordinate the Release Management process
• Supports the successful implementation of packaged releases to the test and production environments while maintaining system integrity and availability
• Leads the communication, scheduling and implementation of changes (releases) to the computing environment and support infrastructure

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Own and ensure compliancy of the Release Management Process which includes the supporting tools
• Coordination of projects (maintenance, emergencies, and enhancements) into releases
• Maintain various test environments
• Develop and manage release convergence plans
• Identify, communicate, and manage risks and areas of impacts
• Addresses release slippage with the appropriate personnel and ancillary releases due to existing issues
• Be pro-active with recognizing and implementing improvements to ensure highest quality products are delivered
• Lead and manage the Change Control Review Board process
• Ensure that all appropriate sign offs occur
• Escalate issues to the respective manager(s)

Additional Recommended Responsibilities:

IT Industry Knowledge:

• Build and maintain a solid understanding of the major IT trends impacting the business
• Maintain a broad business and IT product knowledge, including the impact of industry trends, regulatory environment, and relevant best practices on the IT business and operations
• Drive and follow the appropriate standards, procedures and methodologies in the PMI and/or SDLC development life cycle

Business Partnership:

• Build and maintain an in-depth understanding of business process and products across CBS Functions and CBS IT, and establish strong working relationships with functional counterparts and vendors
• Use active listening to define business needs, and recommend the appropriate solutions based on a strong understanding of the business needs.
• Ability to anticipate end user change management.
• Need to ensure appropriate deployment of solutions.

Teamwork:

• Strong sense of urgency and ownership of issues and outcomes
• Ability to create and lead matrix resources across disparate functions to achieve objectives
• Manage individual workload and deliver to agreed upon milestones
• Demonstrate strong ability to work in a team environment and foster cross-team collaboration

Knowledge Sharing:

• Ability to engage across the Chubb IT practice to share and harvest best practices.
• Promote the use of knowledge management and knowledge sharing processes and tools
• Share/leverage successful products, processes and practices across CBS IT
• Assist in evaluating knowledge sharing tools and making recommendations for knowledge management improvements
• Ensure documentation is captured appropriately and is easily assessable to the team members

Recommended Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (required)
• 4-6 years of relevant experience in systems and applications management including systems/ application design
• Experience with a broad knowledge of industry standards around Release Management
• Comprehensive knowledge of application control techniques
• Extensive expertise in problem resolution and diagnosis across complex application domains
• Experience with systems implementations
• Experience in planning and budgetary controls, strong people leadership skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of application control and system audit management
• Demonstrated experience in mid-large scale and deployment
• Extensive experience in project and change management
• Experience implementing quality guidelines, standards and procedures
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization
