Job Description

Vicon products have been used in most major feature films and many games and TV commercials. We have offices in Oxford, Denver and Los Angeles. This position is located in our Denver office.

Summary
Vicon Motion Systems, Inc. has an immediate open for a Repair and Test Technician. We are seeking a self-starter who will be responsible for the build, set-up, electronic adjustment, test and fault repair of Vicon’s products. The incumbent will be personable, dependable and professional, this role interacts with internal and external customers.

Primary Responsibilities
•Assemble and test (including any necessary electronic adjustment/ optical alignment or focusing) of all assembled products.
•Final system testing of cameras & other Vicon Products to ensure that specifications and acceptable operation are achieved.
•Maintain the build and test facility, ensuring that it is working to specification by routinely performing and documenting control tests.
•Manage the calibration of the relevant Production Test Equipment.
•Manage the ESD strap/lead test routine.
•Setting up of PCs for customer orders.
•Liaise with suppliers and external companies as necessary
•To maintain inventory quantities by appropriate transactions, to ensure all consumables including B-stock items are kept up to date
•In conjunction with Engineering, Production Engineer and Operations Manager, assist with the on-going improvement of current product by actively feeding back observations from the current build
•Capable of diagnosing faults in mechanical and electronic products and managing the repair/replacement either by returning the item to the supplier/manufacturer (via UK office_ or correcting the fault in-house)
•bility to assemble wire electro-mechanical assemblies with reference to assembly drawings. Bills materials and wiring/schematic diagrams
•Work to a high standard of quality
•Use correct documentation
•Other duties as required to meet business needs

Requirements and Qualifications
•Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, related degree or equivalent work experience
•Experience in mechanical assembly
•Experience in electronic/box build assembly
•Meticulous, organized, detail oriented
•Exhibit good written and verbal communication skills
•Self motived, able to work with minimum supervision
•Able to work in a team
•Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs
•Ability to bend, twist and lift
•Ability to climb 18 ft ladder
•Ability to become Hazmat Certified
