We are seeking a highly motivated and committed individual with extensive experience in animal handling, modeling and tissue culture work. The successful candidate will play an important role in the evaluation of antibodies and antibody fragments that are key to collaborative research projects, internal product development and biopharma service projects. The candidate will be assisting in proper execution and analysis of in vivo bio-imaging studies using small animal PET, CT and optical imaging modalities and oversee the development and use of murine cancer models that include patient derived xenografts and orthotopic models. The incumbent is expected to perform under minimal supervision a wide variety of complex tasks requiring practical understanding of scientific techniques and advanced knowledge of scientific theory. The candidate should be flexible, possess good communication skills and enjoy working in a team setting in a fast paced environment.
Requirements

Job responsibilities:
Under minimal supervision the successful candidate should be able to plan, coordinate, conduct and evaluate experiments and assays of varying complexity as requested by supervisor. This involves:
- Handling live animals (mice) and performing animal experimental techniques such as tail vein injections, perfusions, micro-surgery, establishing models etc.
- Perform tissue culture, maintain cell banks and provide cells for experiments
- Perform radiolabeling reactions for in vitro and in vivo studies
- Assist with in vivo imaging in animal cancer models with positron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT)
- Understand and follow all safety and regulatory protocols
- Perform calculations (molarity, % solutions, and serial dilutions) and record, compile, interpret, and communicate data/results.
- Record, compile, interpret, and communicate data/results
- Prepare for experiments by maintaining inventory of equipment, supplies and reagents needed.
- Lab maintenance: roles include placing orders, fixed assets management, performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs.
- Read and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and related equipment manuals
- Assist in modifying procedures and techniques (problem solving, improvement)
- Maintain personal knowledge of scientific trends through literature reviews, attendance at meetings and seminars.
- Analyzing data using image processing tools, Excel and other programs.
- Preparation and oral presentation of data as required

Qualifications:

Job requires Bachelor's or Master’s in biology or other related sciences and minimum 4
years of industry experience.
