Regeneron currently markets ARCALYST (R) (rilonacept) Injection for Subcutaneous Use and EYLEA (TM) (aflibercept) Injection. Regeneron has therapeutic candidates in Phase 3 clinical trials for the prevention of gout flares, central retinal vein occlusion, diabetic macular edema, certain cancers, and rheumatoid arthritis. Additional therapeutic candidates are in earlier stage development programs in cholesterol reduction, allergic conditions, pain, and cancer.
We are seeking research associates to join the Analytical Biochemistry Group of Regeneron Pharmaceutical Inc. in Tarrytown, NY. The candidate will use a variety of analytical instruments, including HPLC, LC-MS, MALDI-TOF MS, and N-terminal Sequencing for top-down and bottom-up protein analysis. The candidate will focus on the biochemical characterization of therapeutic protein in all stages of development, developing intact mass and/or peptide mapping methods for protein primary structure analysis, disulfide linkage determination, carbohydrate profiling, protein variant structural determination and post-translational modifications. The candidate will also be involved in developing new technologies of mass spectrometry to support the upstream development programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform characterization analysis of various proteins
- Develop and qualify new LC/MS based characterization methods
- Contribute to technical reports and SOPs writings
- Collaborate and support other groups and departments
- Perform routine lab maintenance.
Experience:
Requirements:
- B.S or MS or equivalent in biochemistry
- 0-3 years post-graduate experiences in protein biochemistry
- Knowledge in LC/MS for protein and peptide analysis
- Strong organization and communication skills and effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn new technologies and solve problems
- Ability to work in a team environment
