Regeneron currently markets ARCALYST (rilonacept) Injection for Subcutaneous Use and EYLEA (aflibercept) Injection. Regeneron has therapeutic candidates in Phase 3 clinical trials for the prevention of gout flares, central retinal vein occlusion, diabetic macular edema, certain cancers, and rheumatoid arthritis. Additional therapeutic candidates are in earlier stage development programs in cholesterol reduction, allergic conditions, pain, and cancer.

Summary:
Regeneron is currently seeking a talented and motivated Research Associate to join our Protein Chemistry Sciences group. The qualified individual will be responsible for performing a variety biochemical and biophysical assays to characterize recombinant antibodies to support preclinical, clinical, and late stage research programs.

Essential Functions:
Candidate will be responsible for providing biochemical and biophysical characterization of protein drugs for pre-clinical or clinical programs and CMC sections of INDs and BLAs. Research associate is expected to provide limited input on experimental designs and suggest modifications in protocols or experimental methods to meet the needs of a particular experiment. Candidate is also expected to maintain instruments, troubleshoot instrumental/experimental problems, and order/maintain supplies.

Experience:

- Candidates considered for the position must have a strong fundamental understanding of protein biochemistry with a BS in Biochemistry or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience, or a MS in Biochemistry, or related field.

Required Skills:

- Technical proficiencies include chromatography, electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE, Westerns, lEE, 2-D gels), protein modification (chemical and enzymatic), ELISA, HPLC, FPLC, capillary electrophoresis (CE), and static or dynamic light scattering techniques.

- The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and communication skills and is capable of multi-tasking, working independently, and within a team environment.
