| Job Description | The Research Associate should have a strong theoretical and technical background of current laboratory assays and techniques in the areas of Immunology, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Virology and Molecular Biology. An ideal candidate should have strong management and communication skills and be current on industry trends.
General Knowledge Requirements
Working knowledge of DNA, RNA, and protein expression
Familiarity with immunization protocols for studies in animal models
Proven capability to implement and follow through complex research programs, including anticipating, planning for, and developing follow-on research proposals.
Experience Requirements
At least 2 years starting and maintaining primary cell cultures
Flow cytometry and flow analysis
Cell-based assays including ELISA and ELISpot
Mouse tissue preparation and blood processing
Previous experience with immunology research
Education Requirements
To be considered for the position of Research Associate, applicants must have earned a B.A. or B.S. in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or equivalent. |
