This is an exciting opportunity to join a small biosensor division of TDK located in Milpitas, California. We integrate cutting edge technologies in electronics and biotechnology to develop revolutionary chip-based platforms for molecular diagnostics.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Perform assays on biochips and in microfluidic systems.
Analyze the results and formulate strategies to apply innovative surface chemistry to enhance target capture and minimize background noise.
The work will require the candidate selected to be highly hands-on and intimately involved in the design and execution of experiments.
The position will report to the Director of Biosensor Assay Development.
Job Specification and Requirements*
An M.S. plus at least 6 years of related experience or a Ph.D. and a minimum of 2 years of similar experience.
An in-depth background in nucleic acid and immuno-assay development and a broad knowledge base grounded in biochemistry and molecular biology.
Good record keeping and communications skills.
Demonstrated a technical curiosity, highly analytical mind and logical thinking.
An aptitude for mechanics and instrumentation a plus.
Work Schedule, Conditions and Physical Requirements ***
This is a ""Day"" shift position, Monday through Friday. The regular work schedule may periodically be adjusted to meet company needs. The duties and responsibilities of the position require significant work in a Biochemistry Lab. |
