The Research Scientistís responsibilities will include (i) protein chemistry with a strong emphasis in purifying monoclonal antibodies in small and large scales (ii) analytical profiling of purified proteins (iii) supporting expression and biological characterization of monoclonal antibodies.
Both the experience and knowledge of the Research Scientist will be crucial to the execution of the aforementioned responsibilities. The candidate should hold a Masters degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or in a related discipline and have five years of relevant work experience. Alternatively the candidate may hold a BA in Biology and have seven years of relevant work experience.
The candidate must have a strong background in protein purification. He or she must be comfortable and well-versed with FPLC and HPLC chromatography equipment and should have ample hands-on experience with diverse purification techniques. The candidate should ideally have expertise with analytical instrumentation such as BIAcore, LC-MS, and calorimetry. Experience with mammalian tissue culture and performing cell-based assays is also desirable.
