Description:
The Project Manager provides day-to-day management and execution of client-specific project activities at PCT. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Managing projects for external clients to support the development and commercialization of cellular therapies through customized services such as product development, validation, product manufacturing, distribution, storage and transportation; organizing and leading all project & client communications/meetings, including recording meeting minutes, tracking action items, preparing meeting agendas, coordinating client and internal team activities and disseminating project information; develop customized communication plan for each client; establishing, tracking and managing project schedule/critical path activities, status reporting, and resource plan development to ensure projects are completed on time, on-schedule and within budget; identifying issues that may delay product or project and recommending appropriate risk mitigation strategies, contingencies, and actions to be taken; strategic Oversight of Projects & Project Managers reporting into Director, Project Management; overseeing project development efforts for strategic programs and projects; providing direct input into corporate strategic planning, development management processes, and project management from conception through development cycle; managing multiple cross-functional project teams simultaneously and reporting project status to Executive Management and Functional Directors; supporting overall team function in their strategic function; provides direct oversight and drives deliverables for all location-based clients; work closely with site Operations and Quality management to manage and prioritize the production schedule as it relates client deliverables and deadlines; assisting in the development and training of other Project Managers.
Experience Required:
Undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university (a degree in life sciences or medically related field is preferred). In addition, a business degree, such as an MBA or Masters in a business-related area, is a plus; minimum 5+years relevant experience in biotechnology, life sciences, pharmaceutical or medically related field; first-hand experience in complex strategic planning, project execution, and resource management for a Global organization is desirable; good understanding of what drives resource requirements; experience in successfully coordinating across several complex functions to ensure comprehensive and consistent planning; proficiency in Project Management tools such as MS Project (Gantt charts) is desirable; experience with the preparation of reports and/or presentations/communications via presentation tools such as PowerPoint and written reports; project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus. |
