SUMMIT POLYMERS, INC. is a multi-plant, automotive supplier of injection molded interior trim specializing in the engineering, manufacture and assembly of value added A/C registers and trim panels. Excellent opportunity for a formally trained lean manufacturing engineer or a Summit employee to move to the next level. We will also consider an entry level 4 year engineering graduate willing to learn Toyota Production System (Summit Lean Manufacturing System) from the ground up. The successful candidate will have hands on practical experience as well as an in-depth understanding of the philosophy and technical aspects of lean manufacturing and TPS (Toyota Production System), ability to audit injection molding and assembly processes, perform/analyze time/motion studies, and work cell and plant layout to recommend and implement efficiency and cost improvements. Successful candidate will lead Kaizen activities and design training to improve process flow and work methods. The position will be responsible for training Summit personnel in the use of lean manufacturing methods and coordinate changes incorporating SLMS (Summit Lean Manufacturing System) techniques.

Requirements:
Prefer a degree in engineering, specialized lean manufacturing training, plus hands-on lean manufacturing experience. Position involves some travel and on-site training at various Summit facilities and demonstration sites.
