Aavid Thermalloy, LLC, the world’s leading provider of thermal management solutions, is looking for a creative Sales Engineer to join the Design Center team in California! Aavid Design is expanding on its thermal design foundation with product design and prototyping services and is looking for a local sales engineer to support this growth.
We service many industries including consumer products, telecommunications, medical devices, power, etc., and are looking for engineers with diverse backgrounds to better service our current and future customers.
A Sales Engineer’s primary responsibilities are to:
· Function as a key member of the global Aavid Design team by being a key contributor on cross functional global teams of industrial designers, engineers, and manufacturing personnel.
· Follow project leads that come through existing marketing channels and client relationships
· Develop project leads through networking and active prospecting
· Work with customers and global Aavid Design team to define project scopes
· Prepare preliminary and final project proposals for customers
· Maintain relationships with customers and advocate for them always
Candidates must have a can do attitude and be a team player. Individual must embrace change, be entrepreneurial and self-confident, take charge when necessary, and be willing to take appropriate risks.
Candidates must have a minimum 4 year technical degree with at least 3 years of experience in product development utilizing a variety of materials and manufacturing processes. Extended knowledge of thermal management is a plus.
