Oversee facility and equipment cleaning sanitation processes, programs and documentation along with Sanitation employees to ensure compliance with regulatory, food safety and environmental laws are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide expertise and leadership in Sanitation programs.
Initiate, write and ensure facility compliance with SSOP’s and paperwork associated with sanitation.
Understand and perform GAP analysis of sanitation programs
Maintain documentation and report KPI’s
Review internal and external audits performed at facilities focusing on sanitation and it’s improvement.
Initiate sanitation training upon employee hiring and annually while ensuring completion, understanding and follow-through of material
Ensure all employees comply with BRF’s GMP policies
Keep informed on changes to sanitation policies and implements them for our facilities
Assist with the successful commercialization of new products through communication with Operations, Engineering, and R&D.
Participate in new equipment design meetings to ensure compliance to standards.
Manage the Sanitation budget as well as maintain and order plant/sanitation supplies
Develop and implement productivity strategies that effectively lower controllable costs of sanitation labor and operating supplies, while driving sanitation standard improvements.
Ensure good housekeeping in facilities and drive improvement
Maintain accurate and precise records
Solid knowledge and understanding of allergens, microbial contamination, and HACCP.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree required in Sanitation/Environmental Studies or other technical field or Equivalent years of related experience. |
